In this paper a critical re-examination of both textual and linguistic/formal aspects of Ctesias of Cnidus' Persikà fragment (preserved in POxy. 2330), is provided, aiming at gaining a better understanding of Ctesias' perspective within the linguistic, literary and hisrorical context of his works.
