This work concerns the experimental validation of a near field to far field transformation technique with cylindrical scanning for volumetrical antennas, which allows the evaluation of the antenna far field directly from a nonredundant number of near-field data without interpolating them. The good agreement between the far-field patterns reconstructed by using the direct near field - far field transformation and those obtained via the classical one assesses the effectiveness of the technique.

Abstract
