This study measures the well-being of parents, children and neighbourhoods with a view to identifying needs and setting appropriate targets. It further seeks to identify the factors associated with each aspect of well-being, and thus has the potential to contribute to the design of evidence-based interventions. The study is based on a stratified random sample of social housing estates which meet specific criteria. They survey yielded 499 completed face-to-face interviews in 34 estates. In addition to this survey data, the authors obtained anonymised data on income and employment as well as the characteristics of each estate. As well as descriptive statistics, the report makes use of regression analysis and multi-level modelling techniques.
