Longicaudoside-A (I) and -B (II), 2 new steroid glycoside sulfates, were isolated from O. longicaudum by HPLC, and their structures were elucidated by a combination of 1H- and 13C-NMR, fast-atom bombardment mass spectroscopy, and chem. degrdn. These are the 1st examples of steroidal glycosides from an ophiuroid.
