The MeSCHC(O)OEt(-) anion acts as a bidentate Ligand binding two palladium atoms via a (Me)SCH(R) bridge, in which the methine carbon. is chiral. Complex 1 is the first mixed-sphere palladium complex in which the solid-state nuclearity and structure of palladium acetate is retained.
