Abstract
Three new diterpenoids, thuridillins A-C (1-3), have been isolated from the marine mollusk Thuridilla hopei. All metabolites are characterized by an unusual alpha,beta-epoxy-delta-lactone partial structure. The origin from an unidentified alga and an ecological role linked to the defence of the aconchoid ascoglossan are suggested for thuridillins on the basis of their structural features.File in questo prodotto:
