We have reported elsewhere1 that nontopological solitons are predicted by a class of chiral models which incorporate the scale anomaly. These solitons exist for all values of isospin which exceed a critical value IC. They often resemble large uniform spherical lumps of matter for large isospin just as the Q balls of Coleman. In this paper, we describe the properties of these solitons in detail and also discuss their phenomenology.

Abstract
We have reported elsewhere1 that nontopological solitons are predicted by a class of chiral models which incorporate the scale anomaly. These solitons exist for all values of isospin which exceed a critical value IC. They often resemble large uniform spherical lumps of matter for large isospin just as the Q balls of Coleman. In this paper, we describe the properties of these solitons in detail and also discuss their phenomenology.File in questo prodotto:
