Magnetization curves of hollow cylindrical samples of sintered high-T(c) superconductors are derived both numerically, by means of a Josephson junction array model, and analytically, by a critical-state model. In both cases the field dependence of the critical current density J(c) is assumed to have the following analytic form: J(c)(h,T) = J(c0)(T) H-0(2)(T)/[H0(T)2+h2]. The two descriptions are seen to be qualitatively equivalent.

Abstract
Magnetization curves of hollow cylindrical samples of sintered high-T(c) superconductors are derived both numerically, by means of a Josephson junction array model, and analytically, by a critical-state model. In both cases the field dependence of the critical current density J(c) is assumed to have the following analytic form: J(c)(h,T) = J(c0)(T) H-0(2)(T)/[H0(T)2+h2]. The two descriptions are seen to be qualitatively equivalent.File in questo prodotto:
