Our attention is pointed on Laviano area, a little village in province of Salerno, in the South of Italy. It has been completely destroyed by the earthquake happened on 23 November 1980, with 3,000 victims. The earthquake did not destroy only houses, it contributed also to destroy the “common identity” of the territory that was already in crisis for the migrations, but the community does not seem to surrender. In fact, it tends to rebuild a new identity based on young people born and grow up after earthquake. The research “Laviano Restored”, is based on the idea that the “soul restitution” to Laviano population could be still possible through the recovery of collective memory starting from an interactive 3D virtual reconstruction and from a plastic model of the town before 1980 earthquake thus to reinforce the territorial sense of belonging.

Abstract
Our attention is pointed on Laviano area, a little village in province of Salerno, in the South of Italy. It has been completely destroyed by the earthquake happened on 23 November 1980, with 3,000 victims. The earthquake did not destroy only houses, it contributed also to destroy the “common identity” of the territory that was already in crisis for the migrations, but the community does not seem to surrender. In fact, it tends to rebuild a new identity based on young people born and grow up after earthquake. The research “Laviano Restored”, is based on the idea that the “soul restitution” to Laviano population could be still possible through the recovery of collective memory starting from an interactive 3D virtual reconstruction and from a plastic model of the town before 1980 earthquake thus to reinforce the territorial sense of belonging.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
