Abstract: Taking as a point of departure the segmentation on an early play by Lope de Vega, El galán escarmentado, this article examines different strategies of construction of the represented and the diegetic dramatic spaces. In particular, this paper focuses on the relationship between the on-stage and the extra-scenic spaces, going from evocation to representation (and vice versa), and analyzing the interaction of the spatial element and the other dramatic axes of this comedia.
