The nonredundant sampling representations of electromagnetic fields are here properly applied to develop an optimal sampling interpolation formula over a plane in the time domain (TD) from a minimum number of bi-polar near-field data. It uses a very flexible source modelling, able to fit very well the ultra wide band (UWB) antennas typically employed for communication applications and modern radars. Such a modelling is obtained by considering the antenna as enclosed in a surface formed by two circular bowls with the same aperture diameter, but with eventually different lateral bends. Numerical examples assessing the effectiveness of the interpolation scheme are shown.

Abstract
The nonredundant sampling representations of electromagnetic fields are here properly applied to develop an optimal sampling interpolation formula over a plane in the time domain (TD) from a minimum number of bi-polar near-field data. It uses a very flexible source modelling, able to fit very well the ultra wide band (UWB) antennas typically employed for communication applications and modern radars. Such a modelling is obtained by considering the antenna as enclosed in a surface formed by two circular bowls with the same aperture diameter, but with eventually different lateral bends. Numerical examples assessing the effectiveness of the interpolation scheme are shown.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
