Nutrition is a chain of activities aimed at feeding populations. When referring to the Mediterranean Diet, the dietary pattern indicates a lifestyle and becomes a territorial resource. In particular, the Mediterranean Diet could even be considered a factor of tourist attractiveness. The Mediterranean Diet is part of an intangible heritage that is the result of a long sequence of steps (beginning with the collection of raw materials, followed by the distribution and consumption of food, and ending with the disposal and recycling of waste). This paper illustrates the results of a territorial survey to verify the awareness of stakeholders relative to the peculiarities of the Mediterranean Diet as a resource and its potential for the tourism industry.

Abstract
Nutrition is a chain of activities aimed at feeding populations. When referring to the Mediterranean Diet, the dietary pattern indicates a lifestyle and becomes a territorial resource. In particular, the Mediterranean Diet could even be considered a factor of tourist attractiveness. The Mediterranean Diet is part of an intangible heritage that is the result of a long sequence of steps (beginning with the collection of raw materials, followed by the distribution and consumption of food, and ending with the disposal and recycling of waste). This paper illustrates the results of a territorial survey to verify the awareness of stakeholders relative to the peculiarities of the Mediterranean Diet as a resource and its potential for the tourism industry.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
