The employment of virtualized infrastructures has increased significantly the resources and tools available to teachers to support the courses with practical exercises carried out with the aid of computers. In this paper, the design and the implementation of a virtual multiple lab is discussed along with the experiences and the issues raised by its deployment as a tool for teaching undergraduate courses in Computer Science. Particular emphasis is posed on infrastructure operation and maintenance highlighting its benefits, discussing its limitation and potential improvements. © 2012 University of Split.
