The aim of this article is to study the contribution that Nietzsche gave to the analysis of school didactics, with a particular focus on mathematics. Attention will be paid to pointing out the existing connections between the philosopher’ s work and later issues developed by postmodern philosophy concerning links between the so called “two culture”. Nietzsche’s analysis arises from experimenting with last year grammar school students who were, for the most part, convinced that the philosopher would have reserved a marginal role to mathematics.

Abstract
