Aim of this paper is to present learning materials developed for Spanish students at the Università di Salerno, Italy. Theoretical and methodological underpinnings are the language-driven CLIL approach and a didactic transposition inscribed in sociocultural theory of the integrated subjects (Spanish Language and Sociocultural History). Ultimate goal is to improve at the same time historical thinking skills (Pagès, 2009; Plà, 2015) and the capacity for “rethinking for speaking” (Robinson, 2006; Cadierno 2008) in L2 Spanish.
