This paper presents the interactionist model of a news relationship both doctor and patient. Over the last years communication between physician and patients has become more and more complex. The patient-doctor relation has been transformed into part of a network of relations in which every contact is characterized by deep and continuous social and technological changes. The birth of e-health, m-health and of all other means of communication deeply modified all relationships and interactions inside and across health institutions, contributing to the creation of new communicative contexts, processes and connections. This phenomenon has now become a prerequisite for spreading knowledge on health and care themes also because technological changes ask for a careful and constant social analysis in order to define strengthens and weaknesses in health communication. This paper presents the data of qualitative research (interviews to doctors and patients) realized in a context of the South of Italy; here, more and more use of email and WhatsApp has become a new way of communication between doctors and patients, that restructured and redefined old and new issues on health and disease.
