«Volendo fare viaggio per Gaeta et Napoli». Precisazioni sulla data di morte di Scipione Pulzone e sui suoi rapporti con il cardinal Del Monte attraverso un nuovo testamento

The autor specifies, thanks to the careful reading of a document in the Archivio Storico del Vicariato in Rome, the date of the death of the painter Scipione Pulzone, called il Gaetano. At the end of the sixteenth century, the artist was afraid of dying, and so, in the summer of 1596, when he was about to make a trip to Gaeta and Naples, aware of the danger of travel, wrote his will. With the help of this new and unpublished document, the author reconstructs Pulzone's relationship with Cardinal Francesco Maria del Monte, one of his first admirers, the elect trustee of his second will, and with other cardinals and gentlemen.
