Startiing from suggestions of R. Collins' Sociology of Philosophy, the paper argues that philosophy has now a new task: finding a co-operative and fruitful use of digital communication and new media. It is important to catch which kinds of new "public opinion" the digital communication may create and to propose new models of philosophical discussion which are suitable for it, letting philosophy come out of the bare universitarian ghetto in which it closed itsel in the last century.This is the main task that a new philosophical review as "P.O.I." has to attend to.
