This paper is concerned with the linear theory of elastodynamics for the class of homogeneous and isotropic media with the hypothesis of semi-strongly elliptic of elasticity tensor. For this class of materials we establish a domain of influence theorem and some results about the spatial behavior of solutions for the initial-boundary value problem by using an appropriate family of surface integral measures.

Abstract
