The thread of the article is the discussion about the management of work in the Polo Automotivo de Goiana (Pernambuco) from the World Class Manufacturing (WCM) system and its work organization tools. In order to do so, we seek to bring empirical materials from the research begun in 2014 that allow us to reflect on labor relations considering processes of social legitimation that both enable the workers’ consent to the WCM system, and also forge their resistance and conflicts.
