Cusano l’analogia tra il potere creatore divino e la conoscenza umana

Cusanus and the Analogy between divine creative Power and human Knowledge · The article examines Nicolaus Cusanus’s gnoseology starting from the relationship between the human mind and the divine mind. Cusanus elaborated in an original way the traditional Christian vision of man made in the image and likeness of God, developing a theory of mind as a creative vis. In his view, there is an analogy between God’s power creating real entities and the power of the human mind that generates notions and concepts for a cognitive grasp of reality. On the basis of the still open historiographical debate, the article eventually discusses the question of the essential features of this analogy of proportion and the relationship of this with medieval and modern views.
