This article intends to provide an overview on E.J. Lowe’s main theses regarding categories, truth, and truthmakers. The first two parts discuss his ontological proposal in terms of categories and dependence relations. The last part is concerned with the notions of truth, truthbearer and truthmaker, in order to underline their specific connection with his ontological proposal.
