In this paper we study the existence, asymptotic boundary behavior and uniqueness of large solutions to fully nonlinear equations on smooth bounded domains in Rn . The results contain herein provide substantial improvement of those that are available in the literature of which we are aware by enlarging the class of fully nonlinear operators considered and by weakening the conditions on the absorption terms used.
