We investigate the diffusive magnetotransport properties of a two-dimensional electron gas residing in a wrinkled nanostructure. The curved geometry of the nanostructure renders an effective inhomogeneous magnetic field which, in turn, yields Weiss oscillations. Since the relative strength of the effective inhomogeneous magnetic field can be tailored by changing the direction of the externally applied magnetic field, these Weiss oscillations exhibit a strong directional dependence. For large external magnetic fields we also find an anisotropic positive magnetoresistance.
