Seven cases of borderline ovarian tumours are presented. They were selected among 280 cystic tumours that were gathered up from 1973 to 1982. The morphological and biological characteristics of these lesions are intermediate between the benign and malignant forms. Diagnosis can be performed only after a through histologic evaluation of the surgical specimen. Indeed in this series neither clinical examination nor the ecographic and laparatomic data have been diagnostic. Frozen sections often reveal a malignant histologic pattern, nevertheless the final histologic diagnosis must be performed on permanent section. The treatment was only surgical in six cases and also chemotherapeutic in one case. Although the shortest follow-up is 16 months none of the patients has showed relapses up to now.

Abstract
Although the shortest follow-up is 16 months none of the patients has showed relapses up to now.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
