Abstract
This research article analyzes, through a qualitative methodology, the correlation between education and democracy, in order to glimpse the importance of these complex connections for the full development of a new, conscious and participating citizenship. The theoretical, conceptual and semantic richness that underlies these interrelations, is concretized through the comparison between the strategies in the field of democratic education for citizens considered in Europe and Latin America, which, in addition, makes it possible to stand out in the final results, despite of differences in the historical-political mold and the supranational representation model, similar interests in strengthening new educational paths that lead to the development of a new participatory citizenship.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
