The coarse and common wares are, is well known, a very complex group of pottery, which first of all responds to the needs of daily living. However, for its definition, it is usually very difficult to code its characteristics into restricted types and it is often almost impossible to limit its chronologies. Moreover, it is due to its extreme functionality that this pottery class is, much more than others, open to external influences, conditioning very slow transformations, which can therefore be explained only through a long–term look and through the comparison with more tangent reality. The study of the common and coarse wares of Nora has had over time numerous contributions that have been decisive for the definition of the large systems of cultural references in its analysis, but there are still many uncertain cases and topics that await a better definition. This paper proposes a reflection on the various expressions of this common and coarse wares, its cultural influences and its transformations, on the basis of the elements emerging from the recent study of the contexts coming from the E area, proposing assemblages covering a wide chronological period, which from the second century BC arrives at IV AD.

Abstract
This paper proposes a reflection on the various expressions of this common and coarse wares, its cultural influences and its transformations, on the basis of the elements emerging from the recent study of the contexts coming from the E area, proposing assemblages covering a wide chronological period, which from the second century BC arrives at IV AD.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
