The Group-Based Early Start Denver Model is an Evidence-Based Practice that offers educational opportunities for the Italian educational context to promote inclusion. This method promotes the interactions between the child with autism, the teacher and the peers through by exploiting “natural situations” of daily routines, curricular and play activities. The adoption of this approach interested only few full-inclusive American schools. Moreover, no studies have been conducted yet to quantitatively and qualitatively investigate the fallout of this approach on social interactions between the child with autism and peers within the inclusive school context, until today. After the application of a Memorandum of Understanding, the present work aims at investigating the inclusive potential of this Evidence Based Practice in an American inclusive school, and to reflect on pedagogical and didactic suggestions.
