The European Union has a role to play in the actual crisis generated by COVID-19 pandemic, not only within its borders but also in the international effort to provide global equitable access to vaccines. The participation of the EU in G7 and G20 can make the difference in this regard. The last months have demonstrated that something may have changed in the international law making. Coordination between G7 and G20 and major international organizations becomes usual and effective leading towards new positive achievements. These processes have not yet led to the crystallization of new general rules of international law (equal access to vaccines, fair taxation, etc.), but the effects of the pandemic on the legal systems have not gone unnoticed.

Abstract
The European Union has a role to play in the actual crisis generated by COVID-19 pandemic, not only within its borders but also in the international effort to provide global equitable access to vaccines. The participation of the EU in G7 and G20 can make the difference in this regard. The last months have demonstrated that something may have changed in the international law making. Coordination between G7 and G20 and major international organizations becomes usual and effective leading towards new positive achievements. These processes have not yet led to the crystallization of new general rules of international law (equal access to vaccines, fair taxation, etc.), but the effects of the pandemic on the legal systems have not gone unnoticed.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
