The paper focuses on the intertextual relationship between the "Fiore" and Antonio Pucci’s production, both in verses ("Centiloquio") and in prose ("Libro di varie storie"). In particular, it lingers over the forms not attested elsewhere in ancient Italian: it is not only about single words – often Gallicisms – but also sentences and phrases which seem to reveal already in the "Fiore" a formulaic use. The picture that emerges shows, in compliance with what has been recently considered, the strong presence of "Cantari" elements in ser Durante’s text, so to confirm the hypothesis of its proximity to the Tuscan ‘realistic’ genre.
