Abstract
In the Prison Notebooks, Antonio Gramsci addressed the Italian emigration phenomenon with a complex and sophisticated historical-conceptual apparatus, hitherto ignored by both international and national Gramscians as well as by sociologists of migration. This article aims to provide evidence of the great importance that Italian emigration held in Gramsci’s eyes and of the organic structure of his reflection, despite the apparent unsystematic dissemination of comments dedicated to the topic throughout the Prison Notebooks.File in questo prodotto:
