The paper reviews the legislative sources of the discipline of the sports employment contracts, focusing on the legislative decree 36/2021’s main innovative provisions, following the law 8 August 2019, n. 86, reforming the professional and amateur sports’ working and institutional provisions. Moreover, the analysis covers relevant aspects of the contracts of professional footballers in light of the Covid-19 pandemic emergency in Italy.
