Focus of this article is the link between the birth of sense, beauty and care. Starting from some reflections by Jean-Luc Nancy, Elena Pulcini and The Care Collective, the text develops and coins a new term: “prossimanza” (proximity and distance). Theoretical-ethical proposal that culminates with Italo Calvino’’s literary example “Moon in the afternoon”.
