This contribution compares the different forms of textual absence structured in two narratives of “migration literature” written in Italian and in German: Franco Biondis novella "Abschied der zerschellten Jahre" (1984) and Ron Kubati's novel "Va e non torna" (2000). The analysis highlights how both texts employ narration and story-telling as formal tools for creating a third space for the development of hybrid identities, thus de-stabilizing binary representations of subaltern subjectivities.

Abstract
This contribution compares the different forms of textual absence structured in two narratives of “migration literature” written in Italian and in German: Franco Biondis novella "Abschied der zerschellten Jahre" (1984) and Ron Kubati's novel "Va e non torna" (2000). The analysis highlights how both texts employ narration and story-telling as formal tools for creating a third space for the development of hybrid identities, thus de-stabilizing binary representations of subaltern subjectivities.File in questo prodotto:
