The area selected for the study is that of the municipality of San Vito Lo Capo, a protected area with a mature tourist vocation and recently affected by a devastating fire. The cartographies produced and the interpretative results derived from them represent a possible reference tool for evaluations oriented towards possible forest reconstitution in areas affected by fire.
