What are the main invariants in the thought of the authors who – in the second half of the 20th century – elaborated the conceptual figure of the neuter? What are the most radical aspects of this figure with respect to the philosophical tradi- tion? With Maurice Blanchot and Roland Barthes, the notion of neuter takes on the value of a theoretical invention to reconfigure the very terms of the general problematic of identity and difference. The topic is here discussed with refer- ence to its influence on the ethical level and to the questions of violence, the status of discourse, and the tasks of thought.

Abstract
What are the main invariants in the thought of the authors who – in the second half of the 20th century – elaborated the conceptual figure of the neuter? What are the most radical aspects of this figure with respect to the philosophical tradi- tion? With Maurice Blanchot and Roland Barthes, the notion of neuter takes on the value of a theoretical invention to reconfigure the very terms of the general problematic of identity and difference. The topic is here discussed with refer- ence to its influence on the ethical level and to the questions of violence, the status of discourse, and the tasks of thought.File in questo prodotto:
