Identity is an open process that takes form through the optical encounter as well, the interfacial faciality. Humans are initially among faces, only after they fall into the mirror’s reign (Sloterdijk, 1998). Just like the mirror, the screen is both an ego-technical medium and a surface that establishes relations (Carbone, 2016). Starting from Macho’s (2000) idea of the techniques of solitude as doubling techniques, as self-perception strategies, through Lucci’s (2016) articulate re-reading, the study firstly aims to rethink the relationship between identity formation, digital, images (Wulf), from a critical-pedagogical perspective and in the light/shadow of the screen, along a historicalcultural path capable of eluding the technological newism in favour of a media archaeology (Huhtamo, 2004)
L’identità è un processo aperto che prende forma anche mediante l’incontro ottico, la viseità interfacciale. Gli uomini sono inizialmente tra i volti solo successivamente «cadono nel regno dello specchio» (Sloterdijk, 2009, p. 225). Lo schermo, esattamente come lo specchio, è insieme un medium ego-tecnico e una superficie che istituisce relazioni (Carbone, 2016). Muovendo dalla visione machiana (2013) delle tecniche di solitudine, attraverso la rilettura articolata di Lucci (2016), il contributo intende ripensare in una prospettiva criticopedagogica e alla luce/ombra del riflesso dello schermo il rapporto formazione identitaria, digitale, immagini (Wulf), lungo un sentiero storicoculturale capace di aggirare il nuovismo tecnologico a vantaggio di una media archaeology (Huhtamo, 2014).
