This work aims to design a frame equipped with FREEDAM connections. In particular, a case study of Moment Resisting Frame (MRF) is designed both according to the prEN1998 (2021 version) and the Theory of Plastic Mechanism Control (TPMC) considering the highest ductility class (DC3) present in the second generation of the Eurocode 8 (2021 version). The aim is to assess seismic performance and make a comparative analysis between the two design methodologies.

Abstract
This work aims to design a frame equipped with FREEDAM connections. In particular, a case study of Moment Resisting Frame (MRF) is designed both according to the prEN1998 (2021 version) and the Theory of Plastic Mechanism Control (TPMC) considering the highest ductility class (DC3) present in the second generation of the Eurocode 8 (2021 version). The aim is to assess seismic performance and make a comparative analysis between the two design methodologies.File in questo prodotto:
