"Le martyre de Saint Sébastien"

In a work of “synthesis between the arts” the staging of “Le Martyre de Saint Sébastien” creates a Jungian theater: hinged on the collective unconscious and permeated with a communicative language rendered in an original style somewhere between impressionism and expressionism. It is a “poetics of the marvelous and the sublime,” which through the magic of colors and its sensual forms arouses awe and admiration in the audience. Scenic art takes on a choral value, revealing itself to be communicative, narrative, that is, capable not only of telling the fascinating story of an era but of restoring its meanings and suggestions, emotions and passions to the community. Hence the originality of the Mystère, in which different experiences and outcomes from the classical-oriental and western worlds, from the Middle Ages to the historical avant-gardes of the 20th century, converge and coexist harmoniously

In un’opera di “sintesi fra le arti” la messinscena de “Le Martyre de Saint Sébastien” crea un teatro junghiano: imperniato sull’inconscio collettivo e permeato di un linguaggio comunicativo reso in uno stile originale a metà tra impressionismo ed espressionismo. È una “poetica del meraviglioso e del sublime”, che attraverso la magia dei colori e delle sue forme sensuali suscita nel pubblico stupore e ammirazione. L’arte scenografica assume una valenza corale, rivelandosi comunicativa, narrante, capace cioè non soltanto di raccontare la storia affascinante di un’epoca ma di restituirne alla collettività i significati e le suggestioni, le emozioni e le passioni. Di qui l’originalità del Mystère, in cui confluiscono e convivono armoniosamente esperienze ed esiti diversi del mondo classico-orientale e di quello occidentale, dal Medioevo alle Avanguardie storiche del ’900
