The findings consistently show a positive association between institutional qual- ity (and its key pillars) and the performance of bioeconomy sectors. These insights offer valuable guidance for policymakers to enhance bioeconomy outcomes through targeted institutional reforms. By contributing to the growing body of research on the regional dimensions of bioeconomy development, this study provides a roadmap for fostering equitable and sustainable growth across diverse regions.
