Religiosity, faith, devotion, piety, these terms, taken together, have created the idea, especially since the second half of the twentieth century, that there is an individual way and a popular way of living the Christian faith. This is a motif that we find very present in the volume by Monsignor Nicola Gambino, elaborated during the 1970s, but based on cultural and spiritual suggestions that arose in the immediate post-war period, with the evocative title «Fontanarosa and the Madonna della Misericordia», which we intend to discuss here in a historical and historiographical retrospective vision.

Abstract
Religiosity, faith, devotion, piety, these terms, taken together, have created the idea, especially since the second half of the twentieth century, that there is an individual way and a popular way of living the Christian faith. This is a motif that we find very present in the volume by Monsignor Nicola Gambino, elaborated during the 1970s, but based on cultural and spiritual suggestions that arose in the immediate post-war period, with the evocative title «Fontanarosa and the Madonna della Misericordia», which we intend to discuss here in a historical and historiographical retrospective vision.File in questo prodotto:
