The paper focuses on the institution of temporary protection, as pro vided for by the Treaties and regulated by Directive 2001/55/EC. After an alyzing its first (and unique) implementation in the management of a massive influx of displaced persons from Ukraine, the “tide” of the temporary pro tection is addressed in the framework of reform provided by the New Pact on Migration and Asylum.
Il contributo si concentra sull’istituto della protezione temporanea, pre visto dalle norme primarie e disciplinato dalla direttiva 2001/55/CE. Analiz zatane la prima (e unica) attuazione nella gestione di un afflusso massiccio di sfollati provenienti dall’Ucraina, vengono indagate le “sorti” della prote zione temporanea nel complesso di riforme determinate dal Nuovo Patto sulla migrazione e l’asilo.
