Abstract

The multilevel perspective of the socio-technical approach provides a robust analytical framework for understanding the ecological transition. The fashion system, considered among the most polluting globally, must make an ecological transition by reviewing what and how to produce and consume. In this direction, the present work aims to understand how change actors can facilitate change, arguing that consumers play a fundamental role with their purchasing behaviour especially if the transition leads to inequalities in the accessibility to ecological clothing, and therefore is considered unjust.
