This work aims to suggest a research agenda for dementia, connecting the latest clinical understanding of such neurodegenerative disorders, with social behavioral changes and social cognitive impairments. The proposed framework considers the manual and automatized analysis of behavioral and biometric data involving caregivers, patients, and healthcare professionals, and proposes a series of AI tools for extracting and identify, specific features of socio-emotional and functional impairments to develop personalized early risk prediction models, and personalized health care pathways empowering individuals with dementia and actively mitigating the effects of the disease.
