The article investigates Italian scholar Lorenzo Mossa’s studies on partnership law in the light of the new paradigms and research trends that have developed among German scholars over the last ten years. In particular, the article analyses Mossa’s thinking on actio pro socio, the influence German scholars had on Mossa and the historical development of the remedy in German law as actio pro socio/Gesellschafterklage and in French law as action sociale ut singuli.
