This paper demonstrates the advantages of Isogeometric Analysis (IGA) over the Finite Element Method (FEM). The study applies IGA to a vibro-acoustic problem, comparing the results with those obtained using an analytical approach and FEM. Specifically, the problem involves a cylindrical cavity surrounded by an external structure. The analysis is carried out in three stages: solving the structural problem, addressing the acoustic problem, and finally tackling the combined vibro-acoustic problem. The comparison highlights the benefits of IGA over traditional Finite Element Analysis.

Abstract
This paper demonstrates the advantages of Isogeometric Analysis (IGA) over the Finite Element Method (FEM). The study applies IGA to a vibro-acoustic problem, comparing the results with those obtained using an analytical approach and FEM. Specifically, the problem involves a cylindrical cavity surrounded by an external structure. The analysis is carried out in three stages: solving the structural problem, addressing the acoustic problem, and finally tackling the combined vibro-acoustic problem. The comparison highlights the benefits of IGA over traditional Finite Element Analysis.File in questo prodotto:
