In this paper we focus on some implementation issues related to the development of an experimental Object-Oriented Multhuedia hltbnnation System for an Oltice Enviromnent which is going oll in the R&D laboratories of Bull HN Sud. Multimedia objects in our system are created, structured, filed, retrieved and browsed. In this article we give a quick introduction of the whole system and a brief synthesis of the experience on using the OMT methodology. Than, we describe an Object-Oriented model of multimedia documents, based Oll the concept of Doctnnent Conceptual Structure, which is veD’ useful in the process of efficient information retrieval. Moreover, we discuss in more details the architecture of the working protot.~pe and two important implementation issues: the first one concerns with the development of an advanced browser of multimedia documents using the OLE (Object Linking & Embedding) teclmology, the second one has to do with our visual progralmning experience.

Abstract
Moreover, we discuss in more details the architecture of the working protot.~pe and two important implementation issues: the first one concerns with the development of an advanced browser of multimedia documents using the OLE (Object Linking & Embedding) teclmology, the second one has to do with our visual progralmning experience.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
