The safeguard of Cultural Heritage is a fundamental activity for all those countries characterized by a large cultural heritage. Ruins and historical buildings are generally affected by a natural deterioration that may damage the beauty and the integrity of ancient buildings. Since the deterioration of such properties during the time is inevitable, restoration operations take on great importance. For this reason, this work proposes a framework for the automatic restoration of ancient buildings façades characterized by stone materials to their original splendor. In this work, we carry out an analysis of literature methods and we state the characteristics of the proposed framework in such a way that, starting from an orthophoto of the facades of an historical building, a risk map compatible with the UNI 11182 regulation is obtained. The framework will be based on a sematic segmentation model for the identification and classification of the pixel inside the orthophoto.
