Abstract
Technological progress, as is well known, has revolutionized the relationship between cultural heritage and its fruition, gradually breaking down the traditional barriers that separated the work from the viewer. The concept of èkphrasis has expanded, moving beyond mere poetic description to engage users in a bodily and dynamic interaction with their surroundings. In this context, Virtual Tour generation is a significant example, combining multimedia and realism to provide an immersive and interactive experience. This approach has been applied to Salerno Cathedral, serving as a case study that integrates advanced surveying, 3D modeling, and multimedia content to enhance the historical and architectural complexity of the monument. The development of an ekphrastic narrative in a digital environment has allowed the creation of customizable paths, fostering accessibility and sustainability through the use of new technologies. The digital experience is shaped not only as a tool for cultural promotion but also as a means of redefining the relationship between space and the visitor. To this end, interdisciplinary design oriented toward digital durability is of fundamental importance, promoting sustainable tools capable of evolving over time.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
