Following a mediological approach to literature (Ragone, Tarzia, 2004; Ragone, 2014; Tirino, Amendola, 2021), the paper wants to analyze Lewis Carroll’s two novels Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There, reading them in the light of practices, frames and devices that belong to digital society. Although both novels were written and are set during the Victorian age, they present some elements that seem to recall, sometimes immediately, less overtly, some pivotal concepts of contemporary society, related in particular to the sociocultural practices favoured by digital media. More specifically, it is possible to identify in the two works different types of interaction as communication between people mediated by media and devices and tools, as well as the emerging contact between individuals and technology, between man and machine (Arcagni, 2015). The paper, therefore, will analyze the novels by highlighting the different types of interaction, with an additional look at transmedia storytelling, contemporary narratives, and practices within social media.

Abstract
The paper, therefore, will analyze the novels by highlighting the different types of interaction, with an additional look at transmedia storytelling, contemporary narratives, and practices within social media.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
